The shared services model has become a main stream in providing HR services such as recruitment, selection, training and development, professional practice, performance management, compensation benefits, employment law and industrial relations (Institute for Employment Studies, 2018). According to me, the role of HR in the HR shared services is to provide consultancy on issues such as payrolls, relocation of services, recruitments, benefits , reimbursement of transport expenses , pension benefits administration etc. The HR consultant provides high level professional support to the companies in this this regard. I believe that the activities are performed by the HR consultant in a stable and precise manner. He advices the purchase department of the company to combine the procurement of the resources which offers savings through economies of scale (Hume, 2014). My analysis is that the role of HR consultant is to utilize the best methods to accomplish the task. He must deliver the project on time and in the cost effective manner. He must supply the right information at the right time to the customers, both in process and content. He should deliver the best quality solutions which fulfills the customer needs. His role is to strengthen the HR so that it becomes more strategic and to decrease its involvement in administration processes (Scully Levin, 2010) In my opinion, HR consultants suggest the newly established company to formulate the policies and procedures and they make sure that the employees of the company comply with the applicable rules and regulations. They also conduct HR audits in this regard to ensure compliance. In larger companies, they also provide consultations on grievance programs. They help the human resource to cope with the changes adopted by the company. So, to conclude, it can be said that the HR consultant comprehends the issues and ineffectiveness of the human resources and suggest the ways to rectify them. According to me, the role of HR is crucial in a company whether big or small because they play a very important role in the success of the organization (Muchira Kiambati, 2015).
